Who is this for? Users with the Organisation Administrator, Recruiter, and Hiring Manager roles.
Session replay plays a completed take-home follow-up call back as it looked in the interview room. You see the candidate’s files, what they and Nix (shown as AI interviewer) opened and marked, and the call itself. A timeline of flags runs along the bottom, and the transcript follows along beside it. Use it to see what was on the candidate’s screen when something was said, to check a flag in context, or to understand why a call ended early.

Opening a Replay

1

Open the take-home round

Open the candidate’s profile, go to the Evaluation tab, pick the take-home round from the dropdown, and switch to Interview.
2

Find the follow-up call

Below the submission is the Follow-up call section.
3

Click Replay session

The replay opens full screen under the title Session replay. To close it, click the X at the top right or press Esc.
Follow-up call section with numbered labels: 1 Replay session, 2 Recording and Transcript, 3 Question-by-Question Analysis

Replay session on a completed follow-up call

Replay session appears once the call is completed. Until then, the section says where the call stands instead. See Reviewing the Call.

What the Replay Shows

Session replay with numbered labels: 1 Files, 2 file viewer with the AI interviewer's highlight, 3 call panel, 4 Session health, 5 transcript, 6 controls and timeline

A replay mid-call, with the AI interviewer marking a passage

When the candidate was away from the call, the screen dims and says why.

Playing the Replay

Click play, or click anywhere on the timeline to jump to that moment. Previous flag and Next flag step through the flags, and the speed menu goes from 0.75x to 2x.

The Timeline

Replay timeline with numbered labels: 1 Details, 2 flags, 3 activity, 4 chapters, 5 Connection, Attention and Microphone lanes

The timeline with Details open

The bar along the bottom is the whole call. It’s split into chapters named after what was on the candidate’s screen, such as the file they had open. Click a chapter’s name to start there. Flags show as marks on the bar. Click Details to also see what happened on the call above the bar, and lanes for the candidate’s connection, attention and microphone below it. Hover anything on the timeline to read it, and click it to jump there.

Flags

Flags mark the moments worth a look. There are two kinds: Hover a flag to see what was flagged and the evidence. Click it to play from just before that moment.
Flag card with numbered labels: 1 severity, 2 the risk signal and its evidence, 3 Risk signal. Click to jump here.

A risk signal's flag card

A flag is a place to look, not a verdict. Watch the moment and read it in context before you act on it.

Transcript

The transcript on the right shows the conversation in turns, AI interviewer and Candidate, each with the time it started. It follows playback and marks the line being spoken. Click a line to play it. When you scroll the transcript, it stops following so you can read. Click Follow playback, or any line, to pick up again.

Session Health

Session health card with numbered labels: 1 a dropped connection and whether they rejoined, 2 time away from the call tab with a count and total, 3 the time each line happened

The Session health card

The Session health card above the transcript sums up how the call went, in plain words and in time order: for example, a dropped connection and whether the candidate rejoined, time they spent away from the call, and how the call ended. Click a line to jump to that moment.

What Is and Isn’t Recorded

The replay is rebuilt from the call recording, the transcript, and activity recorded on the candidate’s call page. The candidate’s screen itself is never recorded as video.
