Automation rules stop a job from running longer than you want. Open the job and choose Job Settings from the Job Navigation menu on the left. Changes are saved automatically, and on a live job they apply to new candidate activity immediately.

Rule Types

Automation rules pause or close the job automatically when it reaches a limit. There are two kinds:
Automation Rules and Job Digest with numbered labels: 1 pause or close at a candidate count, 2 pause or close after N days live, 3 Add rule, 4 email followers, 5 Daily job digest, 6 Following

Add a rule

Click + Add rule.

Set the limit and action

Choose the stage group and number of candidates (or the number of days live), then choose Pause job or Close job.

Turn the rule on

Rules with a switch, such as After 30 days live, only run when the switch is on.

Notify followers (optional)

Turn on Email followers when a rule pauses or closes this job so the hiring team knows.
To remove a rule, click the bin icon at the end of its row. Changes are saved automatically.
